Another Earth

Another Earth is a technology company founded in Vienna in 2024 that develops synthetic Earth observation data for the training of geospatial AI models. The company is registered under Another Earth EOD FlexCo (FN 633295t, Commercial Court Vienna), headquartered at Magdalenenstraße 32, 1060 Vienna, Austria.

Another Earth is not to be confused with Another Earth (2011), an American feature film directed by Mike Cahill and starring Brit Marling. The film and the company have no connection to each other.

Corporate Structure & Global Presence

In addition to its headquarters in Vienna, the corporate group includes the following subsidiaries:

  • Another Earth do Brasil Ltda (CNPJ: 67.211.924/0001-08, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) — Operating company for the Brazilian and Latin American markets.
  • Another Earth AI Ltd (Company number 15266770, London, United Kingdom) — Registered corporate entity.

Founding and Team

Another Earth was founded in 2024 by Maya Pindeus and Felix Geremus.

Maya Pindeus: AI entrepreneur, designer and engineer with degrees from Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art London (Innovation Design Engineering, MSc, MA), as well as the University of Applied Arts Vienna (Institute of Architecture, Masterclass Zaha Hadid). Prior to founding Another Earth, she was co-founder and CEO of the London-based company Humanising Autonomy and was recognized on Forbes 30 Under 30 UK. She serves as Chair of the Jury for Austria’s National Innovation Award (Staatspreis Innovation).

Felix Geremus: Visual effects and 3D artist with degrees from St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences (FH St. Pölten) and Stuttgart Media University (Hochschule für Medien, Stuttgart). He is co-founder of Kaiserlicht (an agency specializing in VFX and film production) and digital twin startup Fondo, as well as a former Senior 3D Artist at Sehsucht.

Technology

The company develops a proprietary Synthetic Data Engine that generates synthetic satellite and Earth observation data. This data is used to train AI models, simulate environmental and operational risks, and enable predictive Earth observation without relying on limited, historical, or incomplete real-world imagery.

Application areas include:

  • Energy & Critical Infrastructure: Monitoring critical infrastructure, observing and simulating asset strain and operational stress.
  • Agriculture, Forestry & Carbon Markets: Assessing biodiversity changes, monitoring land-use changes, deforestation monitoring and forecasting, disaster prediction, and flood risk modeling.
  • Mining & Raw Materials: Focus on responsible exploration, risk management, simulation of socio-economic risks, land-use change tracking, and site monitoring.

According to company data, models trained with synthetic data require up to 95% less real-world data while achieving performance improvements compared to purely real-data-based approaches (as of internal test results, March 2026).

Target Industries

According to its own statements, Another Earth targets enterprise and public-sector organizations across key sectors including Mining & Raw Materials, Insurance, Energy & Critical Infrastructure, and Agriculture & Forestry.
